Metros knock out Knights in tense thriller
London Metros booked their place in the 2022 BBF AAA National Championships Final with a dramatic win over their cross-city rivals Richmond Knights, 8-4. Fantastic pitching, sparkling defensive plays and contentious decisions added drama to an exciting game.
Brave Dukes go down fighting
On the final day of the 2022 regular season, Dukes needed to sweep the division winners and hope other results went their way to reach the playoffs. An enthralling day of baseball unfolded with spectacular plays and late inning drama.
POWER AND PRECISION PROPELS RICHMOND TO RECORD-SETTING WINS
Dukes kept up the pressure on the teams above them in the BBF Single A playoff race by beating Herts Raptors in both games of their doubleheader this past Sunday in Richmond.
It was a record-breaking day of many “firsts” for Richmond as they comfortably eased past Raptors, outmatching their opponents in every department.
Hawks soar in rising heat
Herts Hawks battled the unbearable hot weather and outlasted Richmond Dukes to win both games of their doubleheader. Amber heat warnings by the Met Office were in place and, despite the 9am first pitch, the temperature was blisteringly hot and rising. Both teams suffered through the difficult conditions and bravely competed to put on an excellent display of baseball.
Hert-breaking loss for Dukes
Herts Londoners extended their lead atop of the BBF Single A South Central-A division with two wins over Richmond Dukes, but it was far from easy for the home side. Dukes narrowly lost game one in an extra-inning walk-off, having been one strike away from winning it in regular innings.
INFERNO ENGULFS DUKES
Bracknell Inferno defeated Richmond Dukes 23-4 and 17-2 in an inter-divisional double header this past weekend. Sensational rookie debut from Bracknell’s Eurimel Pujols stole the show.
Richmond snaps skid, sweep Islanders
Richmond Dukes hosted Formosa Islanders for a double header in the British Baseball Federation Single A South Central-B division. It was the return match up from the previous week, which had served up a dazzling display of baseball. These two foes didn’t fail to deliver again, exceeding expectations and putting on another classic contest for the ages.
Formidable Islanders too hot for Richmond
A showcase event for British baseball. Solid pitching, sturdy defence, and quality hitting, culminating in a dramatic late inning comeback by Richmond Dukes, only for Formosa Islanders to walk-off victorious in the Single A South Central-B division.

Majestic Minotaurs leave Dukes deflated
London Minotaurs flexed their muscles and flashed the leather as they beat Richmond Dukes emphatically in both games of their doubleheader 9-3 and 18-5 this past Sunday.
